Screen Sending Howto
For Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7
I use a program called "TightVNC" for remote support. VNC stands for
Virtual Network Computing. "Screen sending"
means you transmit your screen to me over the Internet, so that I can
see what is on your
screen. With this method, you initiate the connection out. I cannot see
what is on your screen until you choose to send your screen to me.
There is no way for me to go the other way without your knowledge - I
rely upon you to start the connection. This requires your
basic Internet access to be working.
You need to install a new (free) program on your computer.
Don't worry, it only does its job when you ask it to, not all the time.
Please follow these steps. You may wish to print this page before you
downloading the installer program of TightVNC.
- Follow my instructions over the phone.
